About NTI

NTI was founded by former U S federal law enforcement agents in 1996. Since its creation, NTI has established a solid track record of assisting law enforcement agencies around the world with computer evidence processing issues. About the Law Enforcement Training Network

The Law Enforcement Training Network (LETN) was created to provide distance learning to law enforcement agencies on a variety of topics. Unfortunately, law enforcement agencies are underfunded in most part parts of the world. This is especially true concerning training. Most law enforcement training is limited to the initial police academy training provided to new recruits. Continuing education, in most agencies, is either non-existent or it is developed in-house by other than professional trainers.

When it comes to technology training for geared for law enforcement agencies, it is all but non-existent except for a few sources like LETN, IACIS, FLETC and NTI. Sadly, many of the law enforcement personnel trained by NTI came to the training courses at their own expense. Until these funding problems are resolved, technology training for law enforcement agencies will be limited.

As stated, LETN was created to provide distance training to a multitude of law enforcement agencies in the United States through distance learning. LETN training courses are made available to law enforcement personnel via training films on numerous law enforcement-related topics. The training information is current and the films are created by media production and training professionals. In many cases, they are the best source of law enforcement training available.

NTI and its founders support the efforts of LETN. As a result, NTI has contributed its time and resources to assist LETN in the creation of a training film which dealing with Computer Evidence Processing issues. The film runs 23 minutes in length and it provides valuable information about computer forensics and computer evidence processing topics. The topics covered are technical in nature and they are geared more for law enforcement officers who already have knowledge of computers. Through a special arrangement made with LETN, NTI is able to distribute copies of this training film to our law enforcement clients, free of charge. We only ask to be reimbursed for the shipping, duplication and handling costs. We also recommend that law enforcement agencies seek the services of LETN concerning other training needs and topics.
